Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Committee of Lawyers and Legal Advisers, organized the first meeting "Diwaniya" for lawyers on Monday, May 28, 2018.
It witnessed the attendance of the Secretary General of the Chamber, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel, and a remarkable presence of the members and male and female practitioners of the profession in the Eastern Province.
The Chairman of the Committee, Khalid bin Abdul Latif Al-Saleh, said that the launch of lawyers' Diwaniyah is to exchange ideas and everything that would develop the legal profession.
He said that Diwaniyah was launched as an umbrella that is to gather all of the lawyers in the Eastern region to talk about the concerns of the profession and ways to overcome the challenges facing lawyers in general.
He pointed out the profession of law over the years and the extended efforts to develop and organize it until it has already been organized through providing development of the legal system.
He stressed that Diwaniyah will be a welcome area for lawyers to know and benefit from each other's experiences.
He promised that the Diwaniyah would work as a good opportunity for lawyers to discuss the problems of the profession and how to develop them.
He praised the support of Asharqia Chamber and the Committee since its establishment until now.
He stressed the role of the Committee in organizing seminars and lectures and communicating the concerns and problems of the profession to the officials.
He pointed to the lawyers of the Eastern Province and to their discipline in the practice of the profession.
He wished that the Diwaniyah would be one of the pathways to rooting the profession of law and inclusion of the values of one family.
Al-Saleh added that the success of the activities of the Committee and its programs depends on the intensity of attendance and positive participation in the raised issues.
He stressed the importance of interacting with what is presented to reflect the increase in the work and events, which is reflected on the Chamber's presentation of the views of the sector to the government bodies, so as to be more accommodating to all opinions.
The support of Asharqia Chamber of Law and Legal Consultations sector started back to the year 1407 with the establishment of the first legal committee in the Kingdoms.
Asharqia Chamber continues to support the legal sector because of its close association with the business sector, which is in constant need of legal awareness.
The Diwaniyah ended with an open dialogue between the lawyers through providing suggestions on the work of the lawyers' committee in the Chamber and how to participate in the Diwaniyah and the Committee according to their work plan.
Some suggested to establish ongoing lectures about the new systems.
While others saw the importance of the committee's role in raising the competitiveness of local law firms by improving its performance and intensifying lectures on new economic topics.
